Emergency Management

To make sure that we and our community are prepared for an emergency situation such as fire or flood, we have developed an Break ODay Municipal Emergency Management Plan Issue 8 July, 2023. The plan is frequently reviewed to ensure accuracy, suitability and relevance.

 

What you need to know

We will use our Facebook page to keep you as up to date as possible and our website banner will change in an emergency situation and will point you to our Facebook page.

You can also tune in to ABC Radio, 91.7FM or 1584AM as well as the local community radio station StarFM 93.7FM or 100.3FM. Both these stations will be broadcasting regular updates.

We do live in an area that has been and can be affected by bushfires. If you need some information on how to be Bushfire Ready, Prepare a Survival Plan, where your Nearby Safe Place is, or even just an explanation of the Tasmania Fire Service alerts and warnings, please go to the Tasmania Fire Service website, you should find everything you need there. www.fire.tas.gov.au
