Both recycling stations are not manned and residents are invited to only leave items of some perceived value inside the stations. Gold coin donations for items taken are appreciated. Proceeds from the donations will be given to local charities, initially it will be shared by both St Helens and St Marys Hospital Auxiliaries.
If these stations are successful Council is planning to expand to other transfer sites in the municipality and in additon will include an external secure area for building materials and similar.

Any person transporting material along a road or street must cover it adequately to prevent littering.
All loads of light material which will easily blow off utes/trailers etc must be adequately restrained with ropes, netting, tarp etc.
All uncovered loads will be charged and extra $5.00 as well as normal fees.. In the case of "free" materials which are not covered the $5.00 will apply.
Drivers are also reminded that littering is an offence which will be more severely dealt with under the new Litter Act.
