URBAN

The urban zone incorporates the residential area of the Municipality.

Applications for development in the Urban zone may need to address some or all of the following schedules:

COMMERCIAL

The Commercial zone incorporates areas in St Helens, Scamander, St Marys and Fingal within which a range of retail, business and other commercial uses serve the local and wider community.

Application for development in the Commercial Zone may need to address some or all of the following schedules:

NATURAL RESOURCES ZONE

The Natural Resources Zone encompasses land that is used for resource based industries, associated infrastructure and areas that require management to protect the resources on which these industries depend.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION ZONE

The Environment Protection Zone incorporates most of the conservation reserves of the Municipality together with coastal areas and other areas in which environmental protection is a priority.  Much of the land is publicly owned.  It includes area of high scenic and conservation value.
