Break O’Day Council has the following machinery, vehicles and pavers for sale by tender:

Machinery, vehicles and pavers will be sold on an as is where is basis and will be available for inspection at the Break O’Day Council Works Depot located at West Street, St Helens between the hours of 9am and 3pm, Monday 17 November – Friday 28 November 2025 (week days only).

Tenders must be in a sealed envelope and addressed as: “Various Tender – confidential”, Break O’Day Council, 32-34 Georges Bay Esplanade, St Helens, TAS, 7216 and received by no later than 2pm on Tuesday 2nd December 2025.

Items will be sold to the highest tender over the reserve price. Should the reserve not be reached the item will be removed from sale.

Successful tenderers will be advised by Monday 15 December and will be required to make payment via EFT, bank cheque or cash within five (5) business days.

Tender Terms and Conditions

1. All tenders must be submitted on a formal tender form and be received no later than 2pm on Tuesday 2nd December 2025.
2.Tenders must be placed in a sealed envelope, marked confidential and delivered to:
‘The Tender Box’
Break O’Day Council
32-34 Georges Bay Esplanade
ST HELENS TAS 7216

3.Items will be available for inspection between the hours of 9am and 3pm, Monday – Friday, 17 November – 28 November 2025.
4.Items are offered for sale “As is, where is” with all faults (if any).
5.No warranty is offered on any items.
6.Break O’Day Council will not be liable for any loss, damage costs or expense suffered or incurred by a purchaser arising out of purchase of an item.
7.Successful tenderers will be notified within 10 business days after close of tender. Unsuccessful tenderers will not be contacted.
8.Full payment must be received by EFT, Bank Cheque or Cash within 5 working days of notification of successful purchase. (Personal cheques will not be accepted).
9.Items will be available for pickup on receipt of full payment and must be removed from the premises by Tuesday 23 December 2025 unless prior arrangements have been made with the Works Department.
10.The purchaser will contact Council’s Works Department, phone 6376 7900, to arrange a time for pickup within the following hours – Mon-Fri 9am – 3pm once full payment is made.
11.Cost and assistance for the removal of tender items is the responsibility of the purchaser. Council will not organise freight or delivery.
12.Should the purchaser fail to comply with any of the above conditions any money paid will be forfeited and all items uncleared may be resold.
13.The purchaser is responsible to ensure that any item purchased complies with the requirements of Workplace Health and Safety Acts before they are used in a workplace or for domestic use.

 

FOR SALE BY TENDER

 

Break O’Day Council has the following pavers for sale by tender:

  • Herringbone pavers, 48 pallets, 200-240 per pallet
  • Rectangular pavers, 13 pallets, 200-240 per pallet

 

Pavers will be sold on an as is where is basis and will be available for inspection at the Break O’Day Council Works Depot located at 17 Fleming Street, Fingal by appointment between the hours of 9am and 3pm, Monday 17 November – Friday 28 November 2025 (week days only).
